Book distribution
The merger of the two companies Mohr (founded in 1889) and Morawa (founded in 1877) made it possible to supply the Austrian book market in a combined and efficient way. Not just bookshops or book divisions in department stores, but also toy retailers and other ancillary markets are provided professionally with reading matter.
We have in stock about 110,000 titles from 257 different publishing houses in our newly enlarged huge 24,000 m² hall. The shipping is carried out in Vienna using eight of own lorries and in Austria using the shipper Morawa within 24 hours of receipt of the order.
Each one of the book publishers supplying us is looked after by experienced managers, who have a high degree of knowledge of titles. Sixteen customer advisors use an ultra-modern merchandise management system. This allows them to retrieve precise sales statistics very quickly and gives information about the saleability of the titles and the need for the following months.
Furthermore, integration with the bookselling order system KÖBU-DATA guarantees optimal, quick delivery.
Tailored marketing and efficient distribution
About a dozen sales representatives are personally in charge of the entire Austrian bookselling. In addition we offer the publishers we represent a marketing service which is accurately harmonized with the Austrian market. The qualified back office of the distribution division provides our publishing representatives with the latest data.
Moreover, as a part of our active cooperation with the publishers, we also offer press support and accomodation for book presentation events.
